Deadline Date: December 07, 2025
The Land Accelerator India (LA India) is a catalytic initiative designed to strengthen India’s restoration economy by identifying and supporting early traction stage entrepreneurs—also known as Restoration Champions—who are pioneering innovative solutions to restore landscapes across Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra.
The focus areas of the program include sustainable agriculture and smart agri-tech systems, circular economy and waste-to-value solutions, and organic land management and soil restoration. These focus areas guide LA India’s mission to accelerate businesses that merge environmental restoration with market-based innovation and long-term sustainability.
The program works at the intersection of restoration, business, and innovation, aiming to empower enterprises that are creating tangible impact through scalable, sustainable models. Participants benefit from technical expertise, mentorship, and investment readiness support to strengthen their business growth while advancing landscape restoration and resilience.
Top five cohort members will further receive advanced capacity building through virtual and in-person sessions, dual mentorship by industry or government experts alongside internal specialists from WRI India and program partners, tailored support for pitch development and investor engagement, and investor pitching opportunities at the LA India Demo Day. In addition, each of these top cohort members will receive an innovation prize of approximately INR 17 lakhs (around USD 20,000).
Eligible applicants include for-profit enterprises actively engaged in restoring farm or forest landscapes through market-driven approaches. These enterprises must operate within at least one of the three focus states and concentrate on areas such as sustainable agriculture, smart agri-tech, circular economy, organic land management, and non-timber forest produce (NTFP) value chain development. Applicants should be at the early traction stage—having launched products or services and focusing on scaling operations, customer reach, and revenue growth.
Enterprises that are registered in India as for-profit entities, including DPIIT-recognized startups, MSMEs, or other registered companies, are encouraged to apply. Selected participants must demonstrate a commitment to dedicating time and resources to actively engage with the program and its opportunities for growth and collaboration.
The Land Accelerator India continues to foster a generation of entrepreneurs who are driving ecological and economic transformation through innovation, enterprise, and sustainability.
