Deadline: 18 April 2024
With the official launch of the programme, Oribi is thrilled to invite passionate individuals who are ready to reimagine food systems and drive positive change to join the incubation programme.
The AfriFOODlinks Incubation Programme facilitated by Oribi, is stepping up to the plate, offering a platform for food entrepreneurs in Cape town to make a difference in their communities. At its core, AfriFOODlinks envisions a future where cities in Africa and beyond prioritize food systems and nutrition on the local governance agenda. They believe in empowering citizens and fostering multi-stakeholder collaborations to inform policies and urban planning processes that promote food security, environmental sustainability, and equitable access to nutritious food.
Through the AfriFOODlinks Incubation Programme, selected entrepreneurs will gain access to a support system and network designed to help them thrive. This includes mentorship from industry experts, coaching sessions to address specific challenges, networking opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals and organizations, and grant funding to scale their social enterprises.
One of the key pillars of the programme is collaboration. They believe that by bringing together diverse voices and expertise, they can catalyze meaningful change in food systems across Africa. Whether you’re a farmer, a food processor, a distributor, or an innovator working on sustainable packaging solutions, there’s a place for you in the AfriFOODlinks community!
The launch of the AfriFOODlinks Incubation Programme marks a significant milestone in the collective efforts to build a more resilient, equitable, and sustainable food future for Africa and beyond. They’re excited to see the transformative ideas and ventures that emerge from this initiative and the positive impact they will have on communities across the continent.
