The PM-RKVY RAFTAAR R-ABI Cohort 8 program invites applications from agri and allied sector startups with innovative minimum viable products for support in scaling and business growth.
The focus areas, of the programme include supporting startups in agri and allied sectors, scaling innovative minimum viable products, and promoting innovation in farm mechanization and hi-tech agriculture, green technology and renewable energy, ICT and IoT, agri inputs and biotechnology, food processing and post-harvest technology, supply chain management, and animal husbandry.
The programme is offered by ABIS-TBI at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, which has been identified as an R-ABI Centre by the Ministry of Agriculture, Co-operation and Farmer’s Welfare under the RKVY Division since 2019.
Selected startups can receive grant-in-aid support of up to ₹25 lakhs from the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, New Delhi. The programme also provides networking opportunities, assistance in proposal and pitch deck preparation, and two months of training delivered through online or offline modes.
The opportunity is open to startups operating in specified agricultural and allied sectors that have a registered partnership firm, LLP, or private limited company structure. Applicants must also be willing to enroll as members of ABIS-TBI.
The programme aims to strengthen innovative agribusiness startups by providing financial support, training, and business development assistance to help them scale their products and services effectively.
