The MANAGE-FISHub Incubation Program is a national initiative designed to mentor and empower aspiring aquapreneurs and fisheries startups to transform innovative ideas into viable, impactful ventures.
The focus areas of the program include Fisheries Extension & Advisory, Aquaculture Inputs, Fisheries Logistics & Cold Chain, AI and IoT applications in Fisheries, Secondary Aquaculture and Integrated Systems, Blockchain Technology in Fisheries, Waste-to-Wealth solutions, and any other innovative approaches in the fisheries sector. The objectives of the program are to provide mentoring and hands-on experience with established fisheries startups, equipping participants with practical exposure, technical knowledge, and entrepreneurial insights; to identify, nurture, and prepare emerging aquapreneurs to create a sustainable talent pool; and to promote aquapreneurship as an attractive, innovative, and rewarding career choice for youth and professionals.
Through a one-month mentoring-cum-hands-on experience with leading fisheries and aquaculture startups, participants gain practical understanding of business models, market strategies, value chains, sector-specific challenges, and innovative solutions. Guided by expert mentors and pioneering aquapreneurs, the program helps participants develop, validate, and refine their innovative ideas while preparing them for successful entrepreneurial journeys.
Eligibility for the program requires applicants to propose an innovative idea in fisheries or aquaculture that leverages technology, processes, services, or business platforms to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and profitability. Applicants must have an initial business plan or proposal highlighting the scalability, innovation, and measurable impact of their idea, and they should be committed to pursuing their entrepreneurial journey full-time in the fisheries and aquaculture sector.
