Deadline Date: December 05, 2025
The Manufacturing Hardware Accelerator is designed for startups across the United States that have developed a fully functional prototype and identified their customer market.
The focus areas include developing a reproducible product, working with manufacturers to scale production at the required quality while keeping costs reasonable, and supporting hardware and physical product startups with innovations geared towards businesses or consumers that include electronics, plastics, enclosures, mechanisms, and machines.
Ideal candidates for the accelerator must have a legal entity company with rights to the intellectual property behind their design, a dedicated full-time team (preferably at least two people, though one person can qualify), a validated business model demonstrating technical feasibility and business viability, an identified market size and customer problem, a viable working prototype that meets customer needs, and a funding plan to create initial prototypes.
The accelerator consists of three tailored tracks to support startups in different industries. The Classic Track is open to innovators in any field, providing foundational training across all industries. The AgTech Track immerses agriculture technology startups in specialized training and connects them to experts and potential partners within the agriculture industry, with proximity to resources at Cornell’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The MedTech Track, offered in partnership with Cornell Biomedical Engineering and Weill Cornell, provides innovators developing medical devices with access to specialized prototyping equipment, regulatory resources, and medical professionals. The ClimateTech Track supports climatetech startups in reducing greenhouse gas emissions by connecting them with clean energy mentors, guest speakers, and a like-minded cohort.
