Deadline Date: April 15, 2026
Applications are now open for the Innovative Greentech Startups Accelerator Program to connect innovative greentech startups with healthcare providers to reduce CO2 emissions in healthcare.
The program focuses on supporting solutions that reduce CO2 emissions while advancing sustainability and healthcare impact, alongside aligning with social-business principles and sectors such as Smart Building and Energy, Food and Waste Management, Circularity, and Mobility and Logistics.
The program is delivered in two phases to guide startups from validation to scaling. The first phase consists of a bootcamp and validation stage where participants sharpen their value proposition, refine their impact logic, and test their fit with healthcare partners. This includes an in-person bootcamp that helps clarify business models, healthcare use cases, and impact strategies while also providing opportunities to connect with peers, industry experts, and accelerator coaches.
The second phase focuses on piloting and scaling, where selected startups prepare pilot projects, pitch at major healthcare or innovation events, and build long-term collaborations with hospitals and professionals. This phase is designed to transition validated ideas into real-world applications through partnerships and proof-of-concept initiatives.
The program offers several key benefits, including faster market entry, access to testbeds, and preparation for funding. Participants are supported in validating their solutions, building traction, and becoming investor-ready. They also gain opportunities to secure partnerships with healthcare providers and industry players while receiving tailored mentorship from experts in healthcare and sustainability. Furthermore, the program enhances visibility within the European health innovation ecosystem, connecting startups with investors, corporates, and policymakers.
The program is fully funded and does not require any participation fee or equity. Selected startups receive a financial support amount of €1,000 to cover expenses, while the overall program support is estimated to fall between €12,000 and €25,000 under de-minimis funding guidelines.
Eligibility is limited to mission-driven companies whose core activities align with climate impact and healthcare innovation. Applicants must be registered in Germany, operate independently, and typically be no more than 5–6 years old, with exceptions up to 10 years. They must have fewer than 50 employees and annual revenue below €50 million. Founders are expected to actively participate in business development and collaborate with industry partners. Additionally, companies must not have received more than €260,000 in public funding under de-minimis regulations.
