The Swedish Energy Agency is inviting Swedish SMEs to register for the India–Sweden Innovations’ Accelerator (ISIA) to support the entry and growth of sustainable energy solutions in the Indian market.
The focus areas, include promoting technologies with high energy relevance that contribute to a sustainable energy transition, supporting companies with a clear business plan and initial market entry strategy for India, ensuring participants have the personnel and financial resources to manage internationalization alongside regular operations, and fostering solutions with proven technology and intellectual property rights. The program targets Swedish small and medium-sized enterprises that meet the EU definition of an SME.
ISIA participation lasts 18 months and offers extensive support to help companies enter the Indian market. The program includes three trips to India as part of a Swedish cleantech delegation, pre-booked B2B meetings with Indian companies and stakeholders, export consultancy covering validation, partner requirements, and legal guidance, and broad exposure to potential Indian customers and partners. Marketing support is provided, including production of a short introductory film and online activities targeting an Indian audience.
Participants also gain access to Swedish export financiers and the Team Sweden export promotion system, as well as expert advice from the Swedish Patent and Registration Office. After completing the program, companies have the opportunity to participate in relevant follow-up activities through the Swedish Energy Agency, Business Sweden, and the Confederation of Indian Industry, extending their network and market reach in India.
The last day to submit expressions of interest for the fall 2026 intake is May 15, 2026, after which selected companies may be invited for interviews to review their resources, finances, and plans for internationalization.
