GreenUp Morocco Open Call for Renewable Energy Startups

Deadline: August 31, 2025

The GreenUp Morocco initiative invites young entrepreneurs and startups to participate in an incubation program that supports the growth and scaling of renewable energy-focused businesses within the Moroccan startup ecosystem to foster innovation, sustainable development, and energy transition.

The focus areas include Entrepreneurship and Renewable Energy solutions, specifically Renewable Energy, Green technology, Renewable Energy solutions manufacturing, Innovative business models, Grids, Water-Energy-Food Nexus, Circular Economy, Digitalisation, Storage, Mobility, and other relevant aspects of the energy transition.

GreenUp Morocco offers an intensive, hands-on incubation journey designed to equip early-stage startups with the skills, tools, and connections needed to scale their ventures, beginning with a high-impact, in-person launch event and continuing with expert-led workshops, peer learning, and community-building activities. Selected participants receive personalized mentoring and coaching, connecting them with experienced mentors and specialized coaches covering business development, legal frameworks, circular economy, digitalization, and fundraising. They also gain access to infrastructure such as coworking spaces, Fablab facilities, and living labs at UM6P for prototyping and testing.

The program culminates with bootcamps focused on investment readiness and market access, concluding in a Demo Day, where startups present progress to investors and ecosystem stakeholders, gaining visibility and potential funding. Financial support includes an entry token of €2,000 per startup and up to €50,000 total for product development, market exploration, and business scaling, with prizes awarded to the top four performers.

Applicants must be between 18 and 39 years old, operate in Morocco or have Moroccan registration, and work in renewable energy and sustainable development sectors. Applications close on 31 August 2025, with notifications by 6 October 2025 and program kickoff on 20 October 2025.
