Applications are now open for a three-month hybrid accelerator program for Seed to Series A Black-led technology startups, designed to bring the best of Google’s programs, products, people and technology to Black founder communities across South Africa.
Program Overview
- This cohort of the Google for Startups Accelerator: Africa is specifically designed to support Black founders in South Africa.
- The startups are paired with relevant Google and industry experts to solve their startup’s top challenges, and are provided with non-dilutive funding, insights and best practices to improve their product and business.

Eligibility Criteria
- Startups demonstrating traction, ideally between Seed and Series A stage
- Building a scalable product or service with a significant total addressable market and defensible growth model
- Deeply technical, preferably leveraging technologies like machine learning and AI
- Commitment from CTO and/or technical roles to participate and engage in required program sessions
- They are committed to building accelerator classes that are diverse and inclusive, and encourage applications from qualified startups with founders of all backgrounds
- This program is open to Black-led technology startups within South Africa.
