Deadline: September 10, 2025
The Google for Startups Accelerator: Africa has officially opened applications for its three-month hybrid program designed to empower Seed to Series A technology startups across South Africa.
The program focuses on product design, customer acquisition, leadership development for founders, equity-free support, dedicated mentoring from Google teams, exclusive invitations to technical bootcamps, access to Google’s network of industry experts, Google product credits, early access to new products and tools, support on company and product strategy, technical project partnership with Google experts, and funding support of R1 million for each participating startup.
Each cohort brings together 10–15 startups to tackle their biggest technical challenges with guidance from Google experts and industry specialists. Through a mix of in-person and remote sessions, startups will benefit from 1-to-1 mentoring, group learning, sprint projects, and deep dives that enhance scalability and resilience.
Participants will also gain access to the Google for Startups Cloud Program, which offers up to $350,000 in Google Cloud credits, technical training, dedicated support, and access to key industry events. In addition, startups are eligible for 30 days of free Cloud TPU access through the TPU Research Cloud program to accelerate open-source machine learning research.
To be eligible, startups must demonstrate traction at the Seed to Series A stage, build a scalable product or service with a significant total addressable market and defensible growth model, and preferably leverage deep technologies such as AI and machine learning. Commitment from CTOs or technical team members to actively participate in program sessions is also required.
Applications are open from August 18, 2025, to September 10, 2025, with the program kicking off on September 29, 2025. The program will conclude with Demo Day and graduation in December 2025.
