Digital Catapult invites innovative tech SMEs and industry partners in the maritime, aerospace, and defence sectors across the UK to join the Digital Twin Adoption Accelerator programme.
The focus of the programme is on cyber physical systems – (sensors and connected devices, edge computing, sensor networks, real-time monitoring); data services – (data platforms and databases, big data processing, predictive analytics, interoperability); security and trustworthiness – (systems for sharing data or automating decisions, cyber resilience, data integrity, secure architectures); immersive and UX – (simulation interfaces, immersive environments, and dashboards); intelligence – (simulation and modelling, AI-driven decision-making, machine learning, autonomy); integration and interoperability.
Funded by the Belfast Region City Deal and Innovate UK, and delivered by Digital Catapult, the programme aims to strengthen collaboration between technology innovators and industry leaders while making digital twins more accessible and impactful across the UK. Participants will receive support to co-develop proof-of-concept solutions that solve adoption challenges identified by their industry partner.
Selected projects will benefit from up to £100,000 in funding, specialist mentorship, workshops, technical guidance, and access to real-world environments to validate and refine their solutions. The programme will also include an end-of-programme showcase event attended by industry, investors, and government stakeholders.
Applications are open until Friday 10 October 2025, with successful applicants to be announced on 31 October 2025. The programme begins on 27 November 2025 and concludes with a final showcase in June 2026.
Eligibility is limited to registered UK-based SMEs and industry adopters from the maritime, aerospace, or defence sectors. Intellectual property created during the programme will remain with the participants.
