The ClimAccelerator programme invites organisations from around the world to apply for an opportunity to support and accelerate climate-positive innovation through a globally recognised climate start-up acceleration framework.
The focus areas of this opportunity are branding and communication materials for fundraising and positioning where the accelerator becomes part of a bigger story powered by a globally recognised brand in affiliation with the EU and Climate KIC; programme management tools, content, coaching and mentoring networks providing everything needed to successfully run a ClimAccelerator; Climate KIC’s Impact Assessment Service offering a comprehensive suite of services designed to measure, project, and communicate climate and social impacts; access to the Gender Mainstreaming Handbook through the WeClim Equally gender-smart approach; financial support opportunities through connections to a global network of investors and funders, recommendation letters, and exclusive sessions with the investment team; and access to a global network of more than 400 organisations worldwide working towards a net-zero carbon transition.
For over a decade, ClimAccelerator has served as a major global force in climate innovation, supporting more than 6,000 start-ups with tools, mentoring, networks and resources to transform climate-relevant ideas into impactful businesses. Through this initiative, selected partners will benefit from a well-established programme framework that is designed to catalyse, scale and accelerate climate solutions with the aim of contributing to a resilient, net-zero future.
The programme welcomes applications from a diverse range of organisations capable of delivering and co-funding high-impact accelerator programmes. These include incubators offering foundational support for early-stage climate start-ups, accelerators providing structured programmes and mentorship, and venture builders who co-create climate ventures by identifying market gaps and supporting business development. Universities and research institutions focused on sustainability and climate innovation are also encouraged to apply, particularly those able to provide research-driven insights, talent development and access to advanced technologies.
