Deadline Date: November 16, 2025
The call for digital and green innovations by mLab presents a distinct opportunity for early-stage entrepreneurs to scale sustainability-focused solutions in Southern Africa.
Challenger Digital and Green Accelerator Programme (Challenger D&G) aims to catalyse the development of digital, green and circular innovations that address pressing environmental and socio-economic challenges in support of climate adaptation and resilience; food security and sustainable agriculture; water conservation and renewable energy solutions; urban mobility and waste management.
The programme seeks up to 25 high-potential start-ups registered in South Africa, Namibia or Botswana that are building digital, green or circular solutions aligned with at least one of the designated focus areas. The initiative offers a structured virtual acceleration from November 2025 to May 2026, culminating in an in-person bootcamp in December. Participants will refine their business models, strengthen investment readiness, gain access to mentors and investor networks, and compete for a prize pool of €15,000 shared among the top three start-ups.
This accelerator offers start-ups the chance to join an ecosystem of innovation, exposure, mentorship and global visibility. Leading mentors and funders will support participants to pitch effectively, align with digital and circular economy models, build partnerships, and address climate and sustainability challenges through technology. The selected cohort will also benefit from regional and international connections, aligned with a broader ambition to link Southern African innovation to global opportunities.
