The BEAM Circular Accelerator is designed to support high-growth startups advancing the circular bioeconomy and provides capital, coaching, and strategic connections to help them scale sustainably.
The focus areas of the program include circular bioeconomy solutions that reduce or prevent waste and pollution, the creation of valuable chemicals, materials, energy, food ingredients, and consumer products from renewable organic materials such as biomass sourced from waste-streams or agricultural byproducts, and fostering meaningful job creation and operations in the North San Joaquin Valley Region of California to enhance the local economy and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
The BEAM Circular Accelerator selects five innovative startups for intensive support, providing a total of $100,000 in financial resources, including a $15,000 non-dilutive grant disbursed at program start, $35,000 investment disbursed upon program completion, and $50,000 in California Bioeconomy Innovation Campus credits. The program emphasizes building a strategic network through highly relevant connections to corporate partners, investors, and experienced mentors, and encourages startups to collaborate within the cohort and the broader gener8tor alumni community.
Applications are open to startups headquartered anywhere in the world, with a preference for companies demonstrating a path to meaningful operations and economic impact in the North San Joaquin Valley Region of California. The program actively engages founders who address environmental challenges through circular bioeconomy innovations, providing infrastructure and mentorship that enable scalable growth while contributing to sustainability and local job creation.
