The Social Impact Award Incubation Program offers young people in Romania an opportunity to develop their ideas into impactful social ventures through structured support and hands-on guidance.
The program focuses on mentoring and support, intensive workshops for business development and investor readiness, a mountain bootcamp experience, micro-financing for idea testing, and direct access to investors and cash prizes.
The incubation provides participants with comprehensive resources and guidance to help transform their ideas into viable businesses. Selected applicants benefit from one-on-one mentoring with experienced leaders, allowing them to gain practical insights and refine their concepts.
Participants also engage in intensive workshops aimed at strengthening their business models and improving their ability to attract investment. A unique aspect of the program is the mountain bootcamp, where participants collaborate with like-minded individuals and further develop their ideas in an immersive environment.
The program offers micro-financing opportunities to help participants take their first concrete steps toward implementation. In addition, participants gain direct exposure to investors and have the chance to compete for cash prizes, enabling them to scale their ideas further.
The selection process begins with an eligibility review conducted by the local team to ensure all applications meet the formal requirements. Applications are then evaluated by a jury of experts from the private and public sectors. Finalists are announced and invited to participate in the incubation, while all applicants receive feedback on their submissions.
Applicants must be between the ages of 14 and 30 and may submit ideas that are either new or in early stages of implementation, provided they were founded after January 1 of the previous year. Projects must not have received significant prior funding exceeding EUR 6,000 and applicants must not have previously participated in the incubation with the same idea or won the award.
