Creww Inc. and Awa Bank have launched the Awagin Accelerator 2025 with the aim of contributing to the sustainable economic development of local communities through open innovation with startups.
The focus areas of the program include transforming the overwhelming natural beauty of Naka Town into value by developing content that fosters a connected population, transforming vacant homes and idle assets into treasures by building utilization support services, creating a lively atmosphere where new residents interact with the local community, transforming the construction and real estate industries through digital transformation to create attractive jobs that will be chosen by the next generation, turning the Kita Kikai Sangyo Training Center into a disaster prevention innovation hub, addressing the issue of abandoned farmland, and resolving the vacant home problem in Tokushima Prefecture.
The Awagin Accelerator 2025 continues Awa Bank’s long-standing efforts to revitalize the local economy and promote industry. The program will build an innovation ecosystem in Tokushima Prefecture by connecting local companies that possess diverse management resources with startups offering innovative technologies and services. Through these collaborations, the initiative aims to foster new businesses and support regional revitalization.
Applications for the program are open to both domestic and international startups, regardless of industry, with entries accepted from August 12, 2025, to August 29, 2025. A dedicated website has been launched on Creww’s homepage to accept proposals, and the matching and commercialization processes will take place online through the Creww platform. After approximately six months, the program results will be announced in April 2026.
The initiative involves two participating companies from Tokushima Prefecture. Azuma Shikoku Co., Ltd. focuses on enriching everyday life through renovation and community development projects, while Kita Kikai Sangyo Co., Ltd. engages in construction, forestry, agriculture, and renewable energy businesses. Startups are invited to submit proposals aligned with the themes outlined by these companies.
Awagin Accelerator 2025 is organized by Awa Bank and Creww Co., Ltd., one of Japan’s largest open innovation platforms. Creww has facilitated over 550 open innovation programs, generating around 1,500 collaborations with a startup community of approximately 9,000 registered members.
