Deadline Date: April 17, 2026
The Caribbean Climate Pre-Accelerator is seeking applications to support innovative, scalable solutions that prepare Caribbean communities for the impacts of climate change.
The program focuses on climate-resilient infrastructure and built environment, blue economy and coastal protection, agriculture and food security, water resilience and water tech, energy and grid resilience, disaster preparedness and emergency response, adaptation finance and data intelligence, climate insurance and risk transfer, health and climate resilience, community and social resilience, and nature-based and ecosystem resilience solutions.
This pre-accelerator is designed for the architects of Caribbean resilience, supporting founders building practical tools and systems that enable the region to withstand and adapt to climate change. The program emphasizes internationalization, global connectivity, and capital readiness, leveraging networks across Latin America, Africa, and the United States to expand the reach of Caribbean climate innovations.
Selected ventures receive $10,000 in Amazon Web Services (AWS) credits and a $6,000 equity-free stipend, along with access to workshops focused on product-market fit, global expansion, and capital strategy. Participants also gain guidance from professional advisors, opportunities to network with investors and stakeholders, and continued support through the Halcyon and Hazelwood Network’s cross-regional connections.
Eligible applicants include early-stage, legally incorporated companies based in the Caribbean or serving Caribbean markets, including diaspora founders with active operations in the region. Ventures must have a working prototype, proof of concept, pilot, or early customer validation and may apply as for-profit, hybrid, or revenue-generating social enterprises. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, fluent in English, and have the primary decision-making power in their ventures. The program prioritizes founders with lived experience in the Caribbean, solutions rooted in community needs, long-term commitment to the region, and readiness to scale internationally.
The Caribbean Climate Pre-Accelerator is committed to fostering ventures that contribute to one or more of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, encouraging innovative approaches that enhance the region’s capacity to prepare for, respond to, and recover from climate-related challenges. Participants engage fully in residencies, program activities, events, and both in-person and virtual sessions, building the foundation for impactful, globally connected climate solutions.
