Do you have an innovation that can contribute to a sustainable energy system? Are you interested in and have started the work to expand into an international market? Apply to the Global Innovation Accelerator (GIA).
The program focuses on providing individually tailored support to companies that have passed the market introduction phase and aim to establish or close deals in international markets. It targets businesses with prior knowledge and some experience in their chosen market or segment, helping them accelerate their international growth.
Participants in the program can receive business development support from a consultant in the selected market, procured by the Swedish Energy Agency, and ongoing monitoring and support throughout the program. In addition, companies may apply for a financial contribution of up to SEK 250,000 to support needs that the consultant cannot cover, such as building customer relationships, enhancing business maturity, financing strategies, intellectual property management, and strengthening the team for market establishment. The grant cannot be used for travel expenses, salaries, or extensive technical development.
Eligible applicants are Swedish-registered small and medium-sized companies with innovative offerings that contribute to a sustainable energy system, a clear marketing strategy targeting international markets, high technical readiness (TRL 8 or higher), scalable products or services, and the necessary personnel and financial resources to implement their initiatives during the program period.
