The AI for Climate Action Accelerator is here to help you take your impact to the next level. Over the course of three months, this hybrid programme provides you with the tools, network, and mentors you need to scale your solution.

With tailored coaching, peer-to-peer learning, and access to industry partners and investors, they’ll empower you to accelerate your path to success and make a real difference for the planet.

Why AI for Climate Action?

  • For the second cohort of the Climate Action Accelerator, they are putting the spotlight on AI, a megatrend that is rapidly shaping both society and business, offering extraordinary potential alongside significant challenges.
  • Generative AI could add trillions of dollars in value to the global economy, hence increasing the impact of all artificial intelligence by 15% to 40%, according to a 2023 report by McKinsey.
  • From advancing climate action to revolutionising healthcare, AI is already making significant strides. However, as AI becomes more pervasive, the challenge lies in ensuring that its disruptive nature is for the good of their social and environmental fabric.

What’s the format?

  • With the exception of the first and final weeks, all programme sessions are conducted online.
  • Participants can expect to commit approximately five hours per week, with an additional two to four hours for preparation related to the acceleration topics. Please note that time requirements may vary during the first and final weeks due to in-person activities.
  • For participants based outside of Berlin, travel and accommodation expenses for the in-person weeks will be covered.

Who can apply?

  • If your startup is creating real, positive impact for the planet with AI at its core, they want to help you grow and scale!
  • You’re eligible, if you:
    • are a seed stage startup
    • use AI as a core enabler for climate solutions
    • are based in Germany
    • can commit to hybrid participation (some in-person activities in Berlin, combined with online sessions) from 1 September until 30 November.
