The focus areas and priorities of the program include supporting personnel and travel expenses for development activities, funding external services such as consulting, marketing, and sales, providing financial assistance for tangible and intangible investments including technical equipment, software, licenses and intellectual property rights, and offering bonuses for women-led projects and start-ups. The Creative Industries Project Funding Program offers financial support of up to 200,000 euros per project with a funding rate of 50 percent and a minimum project size of 10,000 euros.
The program is intended for existing small, medium, and large companies as well as founders with a planned business location in Vienna who are active in creative sectors such as architecture, design, film, the art market, fashion, multimedia and games, the music industry, and publishing.
Eligible costs include personnel costs, material and equipment costs, and external service costs necessary to complete the project. Applicants seeking funding may also receive an advance payment of up to 50 percent of the approved funding amount, and progress reports are required during the project’s maximum two‑year duration. Projects led by qualified women may qualify for a women’s bonus of 10,000 euros, and projects that lead to the establishment of a new company may receive a start‑up bonus of 5,000 euros
