Are you sitting on an idea that could transform your community, farm, or business? Dublin Rural LEADER is now inviting applications for a Targeted Call for Feasibility Studies under four key themes that support sustainable, inclusive, and forward-thinking development in rural Dublin.
Themes
- Green Economy
- From renewable energy to sustainable tourism, circular economy solutions, and eco-friendly products, they want to help you test ideas that support a low-carbon, climate-conscious future.
- Explore innovative ideas like:
- Renewable energy (solar, wind, biomass), upcycling, community composting or zero-waste business models.
- Agricultural Diversification
- Have a plan to expand beyond traditional farming? This theme is for exploring new on-farm or off-farm ventures like agri-tourism, farm shops, or artisan food production.
- Explore diversification ideas like:
- Productivity analysis, value-added food products, on-farm renewable energy, smart agri-tech, agri-tourism, regenerative farming—or other innovative approaches!
- Rural Infrastructure
- They’re supporting studies into the development of facilities and services that boost rural life.
- Think:
- Shared workspaces, rural transport solutions, accessibility and inclusion, connectivity analysis, active travel solutions—or other smart ways to build rural resilience together!
- Social, Community & Cooperative Enterprises
- Feasibility support is available for community-led services, social enterprises and cooperatives addressing local needs and delivering real social impact.
- Think:
- Local food networks, repair cafés, service gap mapping, community partnerships—or whatever your community needs most!
Funding Information
- They are offering grant support up to 90% funding to a max of €30,000 to help you explore the viability of innovative projects that can make a real difference across the four themes.
