Deadline Date: January 31, 2026
The TEXMiN Foundation is seeking grant applications to support mining efficiency, safety, and innovation through cutting-edge cyber-physical systems and technology development across India.
The focus of TEXMiN is on developing modern and sophisticated exploration methods and integrated techniques, including geophysical, geological, and remote sensing approaches, to identify new and potentially viable mining areas, locate deep concealed deposits, minimize exploration efforts, and lower the cost of mineral exploration through pattern matching, predictive analytics, and computer vision systems. The foundation also prioritizes achieving Safe, Smart, and Sustainable Mining (3S Mining) leading to Mining 4.0 by optimizing operations and processes across the mining value chain through CPS-based technologies, including surveillance and evacuation systems for underground mine safety and low-cost integrated monitoring systems to predict and prevent accidents or disasters.
Funding support of up to INR 2 Crore is available for selected projects, along with product-market fit support, startup support, collaboration opportunities, and access to testing, certification, and laboratory facilities. TEXMiN seeks proposals aimed at technology development that will contribute to the transformation of the mining industry and promote innovation and sustainability.
Eligible applicants include researchers, faculty members, scientists, and technologists affiliated with academic institutions, registered scientific societies, R&D institutions and laboratories, autonomous R&D organizations, and startups registered with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade. Applicants must have the necessary infrastructure and facilities to carry out R&D activities, and proposals are accepted from individuals and organizations based anywhere in India.
