Deadline Date: May 01, 2026
The Sweden–Latvia Cooperation Fund supports the development of promising project ideas and the start-up phase of new projects with a clear development perspective.
The focus areas include exchange and cooperation for network building between young people to promote social cohesion, creativity, innovations and the formation of new enterprises.
The fund offers three main types of grants: travel grants, project grants, and media grants. Travel grants can be applied for various purposes and provide fixed compensation for travel and accommodation. Project grants support joint development in both Latvia and Sweden, with particular emphasis on cooperation between young people in areas such as culture, innovation, entrepreneurship, and civil society. Media grants are available for articles that present new sides of Sweden or Latvia and are aimed at journalists, editorial offices, and media companies, offering fixed compensation for travel and accommodation.
Applications can be submitted by anyone, including individuals, working groups, associations, organisations, and companies. Swedish or Latvian citizenship is not required, but applicants must reside in either of the two countries. Funding can only be requested for activities that take place after the application is submitted, and projects must be completed within one year from the start date. The fund does not support ready-made projects, school trips, study visits and studies, or participation in events such as sporting events and exhibitions.
