DoorDash, in partnership with Hello Alice, has created a Fund to provide grants and resources to local businesses across the United States and Puerto Rico affected by natural disasters or major infrastructure failures.
Funding Information
- Grant Recipients will receive a $5,000 to $15,000 (USD) grant to be used for any expense related to loss in revenue as a direct result of a state/tribal or federally-declared disaster, but that would not be covered by insurance.
Eligible Expenses
- Expenses include:
- Payments of principal or interest on any mortgage obligation
- Rent payments, including rent under a lease agreement
- Utilities
- Maintenance, including new outdoor seating construction
- Supplies and materials
- Inventory (e.g., food, beverages, retail goods)
- Covered supplier costs
- Business operational expenses
- Any other expense essential to maintain operations
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible to enter a business in the Program, you must be all of the following as of the first day of the Program Period:
- an entrepreneur who is the leading executive (i.e. Founder and/or President, CEO, CFO, COO, or any such other similar title) of a business that meets the below business criteria;
- a legal resident of one of the fifty United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico;
- eighteen (18) years of age or older (19 in AL and NE).
- To be eligible to participate in the program, the business (“Entrant”) must meet all of the following criteria as of the first day of the Program Period:
- Be a for-profit business located and registered in one of the fifty United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico;
- Be a small business including, but not limited to, restaurant, gastropub or bakery, flower shop, liquor store, convenience store, pet store, or local grocery store, with a brick & mortar location that:
- has experienced a loss in revenue as a direct result of a state of emergency or federally-declared natural disaster which occurred within the last 12 months;
- has 3 or fewer total locations;
- has 50 or fewer employees per location
- has been open for at least 6 months;
- has revenues of $3M or less per location in 2024; And
- is independently-owned.
