Deadline Date: November 30, 2025
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) is providing repayable contributions to support the commercialization, demonstration, and adoption of innovative technologies and processes that enhance the competitiveness and sustainability of the agricultural and agri-food sector.
The focus areas include targeted commercialization, demonstration and/or adoption of commercial-ready innovative technologies and processes that increase agricultural and agri-food sector competitiveness and sustainability benefits.
The program offers funding with a maximum AAFC contribution of up to $5,000,000 per project. It is designed for for-profit organizations that are incorporated in Canada, including businesses, corporations, cooperatives, and Indigenous businesses that operate as corporations or cooperatives. Eligible applicants must be legal entities capable of entering into binding agreements.
On the innovation continuum, the program begins at the “technology demonstration” phase and continues through to the “technology adoption” phase. The continuum consists of five distinct phases: basic and applied research, prototype development, technology demonstration, commercialization of technology, and technology adoption.
This initiative aims to advance technologies that can deliver measurable improvements to the sector’s productivity, efficiency, and sustainability by bridging the gap between innovation and practical application within the agricultural industry.
