Deadline Date: November 14, 2025
The Business Growth Fund offers funding for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander–owned businesses and organisations in Northern Territory, Australia, providing opportunities to strengthen economic participation, support business growth, and enhance community development through a three-stage application and pitch process.
A total of $100,000 is available through the Business Growth Fund, with grants ranging from $1,000 up to $40,000. Eligible applicants must be based in Northern Territory and either be Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander–owned and operated businesses, community organisations, or not-for-profits that support Aboriginal economic participation. Applicants must have fewer than five employees, hold or intend to hold an ABN, and be registered with, or eligible to register with, Supply Nation, Indigenous Chamber of Commerce, or ORIC.
The application process begins with the Expression of Interest, where applications are screened for eligibility. Shortlisted applicants move on to the Application Assessment stage, where business development support, coaching, and pre-pitch mentoring sessions are offered to help clearly explain their ideas and use of funding. These sessions are supported by Mibilla Pty Ltd. The final stage is the Pitch Event, where applicants present their ideas either online or in-person to a funding panel that will decide the allocation of grants. Pitch sessions will be held in Tennant Creek and Katherine during the first week of December.
Funding can be used for a range of business-related activities including acquiring equipment, marketing, training, professional services, developing new products or services, expanding into new markets, implementing software systems, or covering essential insurance and compliance costs. The fund does not cover costs unrelated to the project outcome, vehicle expenses, personal expenses, grant preparation costs, facility improvements, or activities with high risk of harm.
Applicants may need to provide supporting documents including business registration, ABN, not-for-profit status certification, insurance details, financial statements, community or partner support letters, business or strategic plans, and quotes as applicable.
