Deadline: January 09, 2026
Tourism Northern Territory is offering consultancy services valued at up to $13,500 (excluding GST) to Northern Territory Aboriginal Territorians and majority-owned Aboriginal businesses and organisations to help access opportunities and unlock potential Aboriginal tourism development funding.
The initiative focuses on tourism-related business development needs for new or enhanced existing tourism product offerings and experiences, including new and existing tourism product and experiences development, enhanced visitor experiences including infrastructure improvements, workforce development, and strategic marketing development (excluding ongoing/operational activities and services) that supports potential engagement with new markets and trade distribution partners.
This funding support program aims to address the challenges Aboriginal tourism clients face in navigating the broad and complex range of Australian Government, Northern Territory Government, and philanthropic funding opportunities available to the sector. Many businesses and organisations have plans and ambitions but require additional support and funding to realize them.
Tourism Northern Territory provides two levels of consultancy services to assist Aboriginal tourism clients. Level 1 offers advice and initial assistance regarding potential funding availability for up to two hours. Level 2 provides more detailed support for funding application preparation, including assistance in writing submissions for up to 16 hours.
Remote Strategy Plus is the consultancy available for clients who wish to access these services to develop their business and product offerings, enhance visitor infrastructure and experiences, build workforce capabilities, and create strategic marketing plans aimed at expanding into new markets and connecting with trade distribution partners.
Applications for this non-competitive initiative will be assessed on a rolling basis as they are received, with a closing date of 4 pm, 9 January 2026, or earlier if the allocated budget is exhausted. Successful applicants are expected to complete their consultancy services within 30 days of funding approval.
This initiative reinforces the commitment of Tourism Northern Territory and government partners to support the sustainable growth and prosperity of Aboriginal tourism businesses in the region, recognizing the importance of culture, connection to land, and community in these ventures.
