The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs is inviting grant applications to support Swiss companies involved in public infrastructure projects in Ukraine.
This initiative is designed to strengthen public infrastructure projects in Ukraine by providing financial support to Swiss companies with relevant operations, promoting sustainable development and efficiency in critical sectors.
The focus areas of this call for proposals include providing financial contributions to selected proposals, supporting Swiss companies with operations in Ukraine, ensuring compliance with eligibility criteria, and financing projects exclusively in the public infrastructure sector including energy (renewable energy and energy efficiency), water and sanitation, housing, public mobility, social infrastructure such as hospitals and schools, and agriculture.
The overall budget for this call for proposals is up to CHF 150 million, with individual contributions ranging from CHF 3 million to CHF 30 million per selected proposal. The amount allocated to each proposal will vary depending on the submissions received and the criteria established for selection. SECO will evaluate all proposals through a competitive process and provide funding to those that meet the requirements.
Eligible applicants are Swiss companies registered in Switzerland on or before 01.01.2022 that either hold majority ownership of a subsidiary or branch in Ukraine or are sister companies where both entities are ultimately owned by the same Swiss beneficial owner(s) holding majority ownership in each company. Only proposals that fully meet the eligibility criteria specified in Annex 1 will be considered, and proposals that do not meet any of these criteria will be excluded.
