Deadline Date: November 30, 2025
The I-DAPT HUB Foundation at IIT (BHU), Varanasi is inviting applications from startups innovating in Deep-Tech and Cyber-Physical Systems backed by NM-ICPS, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India.
This incubation programme supports early-stage innovators in turning their DAPT-based ideas into market-ready products or socially impactful ventures. By joining this programme, startups can access not just funding but mentoring, technical support, and connections with academia and industry. The Hub helps bridge the gap between research and commercialization—a place where ideas born out of academic disciplines can grow into sustainable businesses.
The incubation supports projects at a higher technology readiness level (TRL), emphasizing the development of real-world solutions. Selected startups may receive financial backing of up to INR 10 lakhs, either in the form of an interest-free loan or grant-in-aid, depending on the specifics of the proposal.
Applicants are expected to present a well-thought-out business plan, feasibility analysis, and market survey, showing how their idea can be commercialized. Once accepted, teams must register as a private company, and quarterly progress reporting is required to ensure the incubation is on track.
An equity commitment is also part of the programme: startups are required to transfer 5% of their company’s equity to the I-DAPT Hub Foundation, helping align long-term interests. If after a year the startup’s progress is not satisfactory, support may be terminated; conversely, there is scope for extension if the team shows strong development.
This is a valuable opportunity for entrepreneurs working in DAPT who want to build scalable, technology-driven solutions, with the backing of a leading research institution and access to a network of academics and industry partners.
