The Youth Digitalization for Employability and Entrepreneurship Programme (Skill Our Future) was established by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Microsoft, and the Islamic Development Bank to democratise access to digital skills, AI and employment opportunities for young people, particularly those from underserved communities and women. This initiative responds directly to the country’s digital divide, where uneven access to training and opportunities has intensified gaps in workforce participation.
The programme adopts a multi-stakeholder approach by engaging key ministries, private sector partners, community organisations and ecosystem supporters to create long-term pathways for building digital capabilities among Indonesian youth. Its integrated design blends digital skills training, entrepreneurship development and ecosystem strengthening to ensure sustainable impact that extends beyond individual beneficiaries.
To support implementation, institutions involved must demonstrate at least four years of experience in facilitating online training activities and mentoring for youth-led entrepreneurship bootcamps. They must also show a strong track record in engaging with local community partners at provincial or city levels and present a clear methodology supported by past project portfolios. Applicants are required to provide a qualified project team of four members, including a team leader, two assistants and a graphic designer, along with proof of valid institutional registration.
