Deadline: December 03, 2025
The Creative Europe Programme (CREA) is offering funding support for TV and online content animation projects aimed at increasing the capacity of audiovisual producers to develop and produce strong projects with significant potential for wide circulation across Europe and beyond.
The support targets increasing the production of high-quality European audiovisual works for linear and non-linear broadcasting including digital platforms, enhancing collaboration between operators from different countries participating in the MEDIA Strand, including independent producers, broadcasters, digital platforms, and sales agents. The projects should present innovative content and financing aspects linked to distribution strategies. The programme also emphasizes sustainability, environmental responsibility through the use of greening consultants, and promotion of gender balance, inclusion, diversity, and representativeness.
The TV and online content action under this call supports works such as drama films, animation, and documentaries designed for both linear and non-linear broadcasting. Projects must demonstrate strong cooperation between operators across different MEDIA Strand countries, including broadcasters, and possess high creative and artistic value with wide cross-border exploitation potential capable of reaching European and international audiences. Special attention is given to projects proposing innovative content and financing techniques aligned with clear distribution strategies.
Applicants are encouraged to present strategies that foster a more sustainable and environmentally friendly industry, primarily through the involvement of greening consultants to minimize the environmental impact of productions and shootings. Furthermore, projects must demonstrate a commitment to ensure gender equality, inclusion, diversity, and representativeness in the production.
The funding is structured as CREA Lump Sum Grants, and the total budget allocated for this topic in 2026 is approximately EUR 22 million.
