The YOCH is an agriculture-based entrepreneurship orientation programme is requesting grant applications to support youth, smart farmers, women, and other interested individuals in the agriculture and allied sectors with an opportunity to develop innovative ideas into viable products, services, or prototypes.
The programme focuses on nurturing potential agripreneurs through a combination of mentoring and hands-on internship experiences with existing start-ups. Participants gain practical exposure to technical, business, and operational aspects of entrepreneurship, helping them understand real-world challenges and opportunities in the agri-sector. At the same time, the programme aims to build a strong pipeline of future agripreneurs for incubation centres, strengthening the overall innovation ecosystem.
Through mentorship, training, financial support, and industry exposure, YOCH provides a strong foundation for aspiring agripreneurs to transform innovative agricultural ideas into sustainable start-up ventures.
YOCH also seeks to position entrepreneurship as an attractive and viable career option alongside traditional employment paths. By encouraging innovative thinking and providing structured support, the programme motivates participants to pursue agriculture-based entrepreneurship as a long-term professional goal.
Selected agripreneurs receive one month of hands-on training and internship experience at the ANGRAU Poshan Incubator, RABI. During this period, participants are supported with a stipend of Rs. 10,000, allowing them to focus fully on developing their ideas while gaining practical learning and mentorship.
Applicants must propose one innovative idea based on technology, services, or business platforms aimed at improving efficiency in the agriculture or allied sectors. Participants are expected to pursue their entrepreneurial goals full time and submit an initial business plan or proposal outlining their concept. Start-ups that are already receiving grants or financial support from other government sources for the same project or product are not eligible. For those selected for pre-seed support, funds will be released in full after the signing of an agreement between the incubator and the incubatee.
