The Small Business Growth Grants Program invites eligible Western Australian small businesses to apply for matched funding of up to $10,000 to access expert advice and professional services that will help grow their business, enhance performance, and strengthen long-term success.
The program provides matched funding of up to $10,000 to support eligible, established small businesses operating in Western Australia. It covers co-funding costs for services provided by a professional service provider, aiming to improve business performance, sustainability, and profitability. The program also focuses on building business capability and strengthening long-term success. Support is available for WA small businesses that meet specific turnover and employee criteria, maintain continuous operations in WA, and comply with program terms and conditions. Applicants must provide relevant business documentation, including ABN, GST registration, and business bank statements.
The program is designed to assist small businesses across Western Australia in achieving measurable growth and improved business outcomes. Eligible businesses can receive funding in the form of a voucher, which must be matched or exceeded by the applicant’s own contribution. The program specifically targets businesses seeking expert guidance and professional services to enhance their operations.
Applicants must meet strict eligibility requirements, including holding an Australian business number (ABN) and GST registration without interruption since 1 January 2024, and maintaining their principal place of business in Western Australia. Both metropolitan and regional businesses are supported, with turnover and operational criteria specified for each area. Additionally, businesses must have a workforce of between one and 20 full-time equivalent employees and maintain an Australia-wide payroll under $4 million.
Regional businesses are required to have an annual turnover exceeding $100,000 and demonstrate physical presence in regional WA for at least 12 months, while metropolitan businesses must exceed an annual turnover of $200,000. Applicants must also provide unredacted proof of business-related transactions and comply with all program terms and conditions.
The Small Business Growth Grants Program offers a strategic opportunity for small businesses to invest in professional services that can lead to tangible improvements in capability, performance, and long-term sustainability, ensuring businesses in WA can thrive and remain competitive in an evolving market.
