The Indo French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research is seeking grant applications to strengthen the connection between industry and academia, a new initiative is fostering collaboration between France and India.
This initiative is designed to connect small, medium, and large enterprises with research institutions, creating a platform where industrial competitiveness can grow while academic expertise is fully utilized. By working together, both sectors can drive innovation that benefits society and strengthens their global presence.
The program focuses on developing new products or processes, as well as improving existing ones. Proposals are expected to be solution-oriented, with clear outcomes such as proof-of-concept demonstrations and prototype development. Projects that progress toward practical implementation and reach higher levels of technological readiness are particularly encouraged, ensuring that research has tangible, real-world impact.
Projects can receive funding support for up to three years, with a maximum total allocation of €220,000 or the equivalent in Indian currency. Principal Investigators are required to submit an intellectual property management plan or consortium agreement within six months of project approval, ensuring proper management and protection of innovations.
Collaborative projects are encouraged to involve at least one industrial partner and one academic partner from both India and France. While the preferred approach is a balanced partnership, proposals with alternative structures are also considered, provided they clearly justify their composition and outline the roles and responsibilities of each partner.
This initiative represents a chance for industries and research institutions to work closely on innovative solutions, enhance competitiveness, and contribute to societal benefit. It opens doors to cross-border collaboration, funding support, and the opportunity to transform research into actionable, impactful technology.
