The PROPEA program is requesting grant applications to support Czech companies in establishing a long-term presence in foreign markets rather than focusing solely on one-off business operations.
The program aims to boost Czech firms that focus not only on exports but also have an investment nature, reduce the risks associated with entering demanding foreign markets, and enhance the capacity of the Czech Republic to support a more permanent presence of companies on foreign markets.
Financial support for one PROPEA project within a single territory is capped at 300,000 CZK for a calendar year. Project proposals must be submitted by potential implementers, who are local entities operating in Qatar with legal personality under local regulations, and the proposal must include proof of legal personality.
PROPEA projects are implemented by accredited expert entities operating abroad, with the support of the Embassy in the particular territory. These experts offer a range of pro-export services to Czech companies already operating in the territory or preparing to enter the target foreign market. Services include processing business plans for market entry or investment, conducting legal, tax, financial, and legislative analyses, and assisting with launching products on the market, including support in negotiations with financial institutions, opening accounts, securing financing, and establishing a company.
The program also helps secure licenses, certifications, product registrations, and trademarks, as well as documentation for import/export and logistics. PROPEA projects facilitate the creation and coordination of supplier and partner networks, provide promotional, marketing, and PR services, and offer support during the start of production or start-up assistance for companies from the service sector. In addition, companies can make use of technical facilities as part of their project implementation.
