Vinnova invites Swedish industry and research organizations to apply for funding to enhance competitiveness and digital resilience through innovative projects in AI and cybersecurity.
The call prioritizes projects that use AI to prevent, detect, and manage cyber threats, or that develop solutions making AI systems reliable, secure, and resilient to attacks and disruptions. Projects should contribute to increased security, robustness, and innovation in Swedish industry, enabling safe implementation of advanced digitalization and promoting renewal and competence-enhancing effects beyond the participating parties.
This funding opportunity encourages research and innovation projects that strengthen cybersecurity through automated monitoring, risk management, and self-learning security. Projects are expected to develop AI-based solutions that automate complex data flows, support seamless authentication, authorization control, and incident response without human intervention. By promoting innovation and the use of advanced AI tools, these projects aim to shape the next generation of cybersecurity solutions for Swedish industry.
In addition to AI-enabled cybersecurity, the call emphasizes the development of reliable and secure AI. Projects in this focus area will create robust AI systems capable of withstanding attacks and operational disruptions. Ensuring traceability, security, and control in AI applications is essential, particularly in environments where multiple AI agents interact. By fostering trustworthy and secure AI solutions, Swedish industry can accelerate responsible adoption of advanced technologies while raising the general level of expertise and security across the sector.
The initiative supports consortia with at least two participants, including at least one company, and encourages collaboration with universities, research institutes, and other relevant organizations. Funding is available between 1 and 10 million SEK per project, covering up to 50% of eligible costs, with a preliminary total budget of 50 million SEK. The expected outcomes include solutions with strong potential for national and international impact, promoting digital resilience and innovation within Swedish industry.
