Deadline: September 30, 2025
The South Kesteven Business Growth Grant, funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, will support businesses with the boost they need to drive innovation, create and safeguard local jobs, and unlock new growth opportunities.
The focus of this initiative is to grow sustainably, create or safeguard jobs, improve productivity, and expand into new markets.
This grant, delivered by South Kesteven District Council through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, offers eligible businesses a valuable opportunity to pursue capital or revenue investments that drive their long-term development. Applications can be submitted from August through September 30th, with funding allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If funds remain, an additional window will be announced.
To secure support, applicants are required to present a strong project proposal that demonstrates measurable business growth, innovation, or economic impact. Only businesses that meet the eligibility criteria—such as being registered with HMRC or Companies House, operating for more than 12 months, employing fewer than 250 people, and having an annual turnover under £40 million—can qualify. Additionally, projects must not involve restricted costs such as land purchases, vehicles, operating expenses, debt repayment, or replacing outdated equipment with similar models.
Eligible businesses will need to provide comprehensive documentation as part of their submission, including a clear project summary, cost breakdown with quotes, financial accounts, recent bank statements, projected budgets, and evidence of match funding. These details are crucial, as incomplete applications may face delays in assessment.
The strongest project examples outlined emphasize how businesses in varied sectors can use grant funding as a catalyst for notable growth and measurable impact within the South Kesteven economy. This aligns with the grant’s core ambition—enabling enterprises to achieve sustainable, innovative, and job-creating outcomes that strengthen the local community.
