Applicants are now invited to submit applications for research and innovation in critical and digital technologies to strengthen Denmark’s and the EU’s competitiveness, security, and welfare society.
The programme’s focus areas include investments in critical and digital technologies important for national and European security and competitiveness, support for both fundamental and application‑oriented research and innovation in areas of EU importance such as production technology, semiconductors, robotics and drone technologies, materials technology, particle research, cyber and information security including human behavioural aspects, space technologies, artificial intelligence, nuclear power, and projects that promote citizen engagement, digital inclusion, and strengthen the digital welfare society.
Projects funded under this call may run for a duration of one to five years, giving participants flexibility to plan and execute work that aligns with their research and innovation goals. The total budget for this call is a minimum of DKK 275.6 million, with specific amounts earmarked for priority areas including DKK 88 million for space technologies, DKK 80 million for artificial intelligence, and DKK 10 million for nuclear research, and individual project investments range from DKK 5 million to DKK 30 million, with a lower maximum for nuclear research projects.
Any legal entity in Denmark or abroad can participate and receive funding, including businesses, research institutions, and public institutions that are actively involved in the project activities and can contribute to meeting the call’s objectives. Applicants should prepare to demonstrate how their proposed research and innovation work contributes to technological advancement and societal benefit within the scope of the call’s priorities.
