Deadline Date: March 02, 2026
The MAGICIAN is seeking grant applications to support innovative proposals from SMEs and start-ups aimed at expanding the applications of artificial intelligence.
The initiative seeks to fund projects that explore new use cases for AI and deepen the functionalities of the project’s existing pilot, particularly in the automotive sector.
Each Open Call will fund up to five SMEs or start-ups, with a total of 2 million EUR available for implementation of projects lasting up to 12 months. Selected projects will receive funding of up to 200,000 EUR each, allowing teams to develop and test their solutions within the MAGICIAN framework.
The second Open Call focuses on applying MAGICIAN’s capabilities to new domains beyond automotive. Proposals should target one of several sectors, including aerospace, maritime and shipbuilding, electronics, public transport, heavy industry and energy, intermediate components made of glass, plastic, or textile, interior design components, and white goods. The goal is to validate the performance and adaptability of the project’s Sensing Robot (SR) and Cleaning Robot (CR) in diverse real-time production environments.
Eligible applicants include SMEs that meet the EU definition under recommendation 2003/361 or start-ups with a maximum of five years of existence and certified establishment. This initiative provides a significant opportunity for innovative companies to leverage AI technologies, expand their capabilities, and participate in pioneering applications within multiple industrial sectors.
