Deadline: 10 September 2025
6G-PATH is launching Open Call 2 to fund and bring 30 new innovative use cases into the Beyond 5G (B5G)/6G ecosystem.
Objectives
- The objective of the 6G-PATH project is to help foster the further development and integration of new and improved tools and products from EU companies with 5G/6G, while also measuring relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Value Indicators (KVIs). To achieve this, seven testbeds will be part of the project consortium, which will be used by ten use cases spread across four key verticals:
- Health, Education, Smart Cities and Farming.
What is the 6G-PATH – Open Call 2 offer?
- The 6G-PATH – Open Call #2 is a competitive process in which eligible applicants apply to access the 6G-PATH Assistance Programme.
- The 6G-PATH Assistance Programme is organised in three phases covering a period of nine months, each with a set of objectives and requirements. The programme aims to provide sub-grantees with value-added services, both technical and business-related, to ensure the successful development and impact of their projects.
- In addition to the lump sum grant funding of up to €60,000, beneficiaries will be in contact with a monitor, which will help with relevant technical support during project implementation.
- The programme will select 30 applications, aligned with the four 6G-PATH verticals, and implementing use cases that use the infrastructure made available by the 6G-PATH project’s seven testbeds, as well as the infrastructure and extensions funded in the framework of Open Call 1.
Eligible Costs
- Eligible costs include staff costs for project management, research, technical developments, testing and piloting activities; communication and promotion activities; travel (as required); project-specific equipment. Subcontracting is eligible in this open call, representing a maxiumum of up to 25% of the total project budget.
Types of Projects
- The 6G-PATH – Open Call 2 aims to fund projects that will develop innovative solutions and services that use the 6G-PATH infrastructure, including established testbeds and those introduced through the Open Call 1 projects. Funded projects will represent new use cases that demonstrate the capabilities of the 6G-PATH infrastructure. For this reason, they must also show novelty beyond the use cases already being developed in 6G-PATH.
- In their applications, applicants are required to select:
- One (1) testbed they are interested in working with, from the original seven 6G-PATH testbeds or two new testbeds (6G-PathToVLC / 6G-INCOGNICO), and
- One (1) of the use case topics defined for the selected testbed.
