Deadline Date: March 09, 2026
The IIT Tirupati Navavishkar I-Hub Foundation is inviting grant applications to support translational deep-tech projects aimed at advancing technologies from TRL 2–4 to TRL 5–6 within a defined and time-bound framework aligned with national strategic priorities.
The program focuses on prototype validation, intellectual property generation, and deployment readiness, seeking projects that deliver validated prototypes, demonstrate clear TRL progression, generate IP, establish deployment-ready pathways, and foster academia–industry–startup collaboration. Strategic technology domains include Positioning, Navigation and Timing, anti-jamming and anti-spoofing technologies, GNSS-denied positioning using 5G, LiFi, UWB and multi-sensor fusion, underwater and celestial positioning, NavIC-centric systems, spintronics-based positioning and sensing, and neuromorphic sensing.
The funding support available is up to ₹1 Crore per project through TIH support. Industry or startup contribution is encouraged, and the total release of funds is subject to milestone review. The program duration ranges from 12 to 18 months, with a strict cap and milestone-based continuation. There is no automatic extension beyond the approved project period.
Eligibility is limited to Indian nationals. The Principal Investigator must be from a recognized Indian academic or research institution. Based on project requirements, TIH will assign or add faculty from IIT Tirupati as Co-Principal Investigator or Technical Mentor. Startup participation is strongly recommended; however, proposals submitted solely by startups are not permitted.
