The Innovation Fund of Montenegro has launched a public call to fund innovative solutions that improve public services for citizens and the economy.
The focus areas, include improving public sector service delivery, enhancing business efficiency, encouraging the adoption of modern technologies by public institutions, developing and testing innovative solutions with high potential for application in the public sector, and fostering collaboration between technology companies, research organizations, and government entities.
The Fund has allocated a total of EUR 2,000,000.00 to co-finance eligible projects under this call. Projects can involve the creation of completely new solutions not currently available on the market, with a maximum grant of up to EUR 200,000, or the adaptation of existing solutions to meet the needs of a public sector entity, with a maximum grant of up to EUR 100,000. The level of funding awarded may also depend on the type of beneficiary and the total eligible project costs.
Selected projects must be implemented within a period of up to 18 months. Eligible applicants for this program include micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), start-ups, and research or knowledge dissemination organizations. The program provides an opportunity for these entities to contribute to the modernization of public services while testing innovative technologies in real-world settings.
