Deadline: October 09, 2025
The MeitY Startup Hub GENESIS EIR Programme by the Government of India, implemented through Amrita Technology Business Incubator, provides a subsistence grant of up to Rs. 10,00,000 per year to aspiring or budding entrepreneurs with promising technology business ideas.
The focus is on electronic design and manufacturing, deeptech software and product, and the ICT space. The program aligns with the overarching goals of the GENESIS Scheme which include promoting technology-led entrepreneurship, creating jobs and fostering regional innovation hubs, and supporting sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
The GENESIS EIR programme is designed to support early-stage entrepreneurs by providing them both financial assistance and mentorship. Selected entrepreneurs will benefit not only from funding but also from guidance on market/customer connect, IPR support, fundraising strategies, and overall business scaling. Amrita TBI, a nationally recognized non-profit incubator that has received awards for its impact, will implement the scheme and monitor progress to ensure that milestones are achieved.
The eligibility criteria require applicants to be Indian citizens who are at least 18 years of age, first-generation entrepreneurs, and fully committed to working on their startup idea. Startups must be at the ideation, validation, or very early stages, and must not have received previous significant funding exceeding Rs. 10 lakh. Originality of the idea, potential for scalability, measurable impact in Tier-II and Tier-III cities, and proper registration (if incorporated) are also important requirements.
Non-performing recipients may be terminated before the completion of 12 months, as the program strongly emphasizes accountability and progress. The grant is meant to help address real entrepreneurial challenges, such as prototype development, market research, and customer validation.
The submission deadline for applications is October 9, 2025.
