Submissions are now open for Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub Grant to provide mental health and wellbeing supports to children aged 0-12, as well as their families, carers, and kin. This service will provide support for mild, moderate, and emerging mental health concerns.
The Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub aims to offer flexible, wrap-around supports and improve service collaboration. This grant provides funding for one or more organisations to establish a new service focused on supporting children experiencing mild, moderate, and emerging mental health concerns, alongside support for their families, carers, and kin. The service is designed to strengthen access to mental health and wellbeing supports through a dedicated hub model.The opportunity is intended for organisations with experience in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children aged 0–12 and their families, carers, and kin.
Successful applicants can receive funding of up to $2.45 million GST exclusive per year for two years, with a possibility of extension, to support the establishment and operation of the Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub.
Eligible applicants include incorporated organisations, partnerships, joint applications or consortia, registered charities or not-for-profit organisations, and publicly funded research organisations. Applicant organisations must hold an Australian Business Number or Australian Company Number, be GST registered, and maintain an account with an Australian financial institution. In addition, organisations are expected to demonstrate experience in delivering specialised mental health and wellbeing supports to children and families and working with multidisciplinary teams.
