The Measures and Support Division is inviting grant applications to support micro and small enterprises through nonrepayable Grants to part-finance costs incurred for external services contracted to provide the enterprise with a Marketing Strategy aimed at rendering it more efficient or more competitive.
To address this, a new Grant Scheme has been launched to support these businesses through non-repayable grants. The funding is designed to part-finance the costs of external services contracted to develop a marketing strategy, helping enterprises become more efficient, competitive, and better positioned to achieve their goals.
A marketing strategy provides businesses with a structured plan to promote their products or services while aligning marketing efforts with overall business objectives. This scheme aims to assist micro and small enterprises in designing strategies that enhance competitiveness and stimulate growth, offering guidance and financial support to those that lack internal resources.
The Grant Scheme falls under Policy Objective 1 of the SFC2021 Programme 2021-2027, which focuses on creating a more competitive and smarter Europe by promoting innovative economic transformation, regional ICT connectivity, and sustainable growth. Specifically, the scheme supports entrepreneurship by facilitating the economic exploitation of new ideas, fostering the creation of new firms, and enhancing the sustainable growth and competitiveness of SMEs, including job creation.
The program will remain operational until December 31, 2026, subject to the availability of funds. The initial budget allocated for this scheme is €500,000, with a maximum grant of €10,000 per enterprise to part-finance eligible costs.
Eligible applicants include micro and small-sized enterprises engaged in economic activities, regardless of their legal form. Businesses without formal legal personality must be registered under the Second Schedule of the Civil Code (CAP 16 of the Laws of Malta) to qualify for funding.
This Grant Scheme provides an important opportunity for small businesses to access expert support, build strong marketing strategies, and enhance their competitiveness in the market, ultimately contributing to sustainable growth and economic resilience.
