Deadline: September 23, 2025
The NSW Government has opened applications for the Live Performance Venue Grant Program Round 2, supporting hospitality venues to host live performances with funding for sound or staging equipment, programming, marketing, and delivery costs.
The purpose of the Live Performance Venue Grant Program is to increase the number of hospitality venues staging live performance in NSW, increase the number and diversity of live performances in the NSW night-time economy, and create employment opportunities for those working in the live performance sector in NSW (e.g. artists, audio-visual professionals, hospitality and venue staff).
Grants range from $15,000 to $80,000 and require at least a 10% co-contribution from applicants. Eligible venues include small to medium hospitality businesses such as restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs, wineries, breweries, and distilleries, as well as registered clubs within capacity limits, provided they have been operating for at least 12 months and hold appropriate approvals and licences.
The grant supports projects such as acoustic appraisals, training, paying performers and booking agents, licensing, hiring or purchasing sound and staging equipment, and marketing for performances after 5 pm. However, the program excludes major capital works, rent, utilities, general maintenance, staff salaries, and events before 5 pm.
Applications are open until 23 September 2025, 2:00 pm. Successful applicants will be assessed through competitive panels for Sydney and regional venues, with outcomes expected by the end of November 2025 and funding deeds executed within a month of notification.
