The Italian Agency for Development and Cooperation (AICS) Cairo has launched an expression of interest under the project “KHADRA – Women’s Empowerment through a Sustainable Entrepreneurship” for the implementation of a gender and market analysis to support future planning and implementation of KHADRA activities in Siwa, Matrouh governorate.
The focus of this call is to employ mixed research methods—including literature review, semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions, and field visits—to produce a comprehensive gender and market analysis. The analysis will serve as a solid evidence base for the design and implementation of KHADRA’s activities in Siwa, ensuring that project actions are grounded in local realities, inclusive of women’s perspectives, and aligned with market opportunities.
The implementation period for this assignment is two months, with a total budget of up to EUR 20,000 (VAT included).Interested companies or organisations must meet specific eligibility criteria, including an average annual turnover of at least EUR 20,000 over the last three financial years, proven physical and operational access to Siwa, logistical capacity to operate in the area, established connections with local actors and communities, and adequate staff with demonstrated experience to ensure effective project delivery. The organisation must also be legally registered in Egypt.
AICS Cairo reserves the right to assess the financial capacity and technical capabilities of applicants, ensuring compliance with the principles of adequacy and proportionality. Companies may associate with others through a consortium to enhance their qualifications.
