Deadline: 6-February-2026
The Kilimo Trust, together with RAB and MINAGRI, is seeking grant applications to support stakeholders in Kayonza District under the KIIWP-2 Project.
The focus areas, of this initiative include agricultural value chain development, post-harvest handling of agricultural produce, matching grant support, and targeted crop value chains comprising maize, soybeans, beans, sweet potatoes, Irish potatoes, cassava, rice, vegetables, and fruits.
The matching grant support is implemented through the KIIWP-2 Project, which is funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development. The initiative seeks to support farmer groups, cooperatives, private companies, cooperative unions, and joint ventures operating within Kayonza District that have viable business or project ideas aligned with the programme’s objectives.
Eligible proposals must focus on post-harvest handling of agricultural produce and related infrastructure or equipment. This includes initiatives such as drying grounds, storage facilities, drying shelters, cold rooms, maize cribs, fruit aggregation centers, and post-harvest machines including mechanical dryers and threshers.
All proposals submitted for matching grant support must be implemented within Kayonza District, ensuring that the supported activities directly benefit the local agricultural value chains and contribute to improved post-harvest management in the district.
