Deadline Date: March 11, 2026
Innovate UK is offering up to £5 million to fund supply chain innovation projects, aiming to enhance resource efficiency and resilience across key industrial sectors.
The competition focuses on supporting feasibility studies that explore new ways of improving supply chains and addresses cross-cutting challenges faced by the six high-growth sectors outlined in the Government’s Industrial Strategy and the advanced manufacturing frontier industries in scope.
The funding is intended for projects with a total eligible grant request between £50,000 and £100,000. Eligible projects must align with at least two of the following high-growth sectors: advanced manufacturing, clean energy industries, creative industries, defence, digital and technologies, and life sciences. Alternatively, projects may focus on at least two of the advanced manufacturing frontier industries, including automotive, batteries and energy storage, aerospace, advanced materials (including composites, metals, polymers, ceramics, glass, and smart materials), agri-tech, and space.
Applications can be submitted by a UK registered business of any size or a UK-based research and technology organisation (RTO). Collaborative projects must include at least one UK registered business claiming funding, while RTOs are not eligible to apply alone. The competition encourages innovative approaches that tackle sector-specific challenges while fostering cross-sector collaboration to build stronger and more sustainable supply chains.
This investment represents an opportunity for businesses and research organisations to test new solutions and drive growth across industries critical to the UK’s industrial strategy and advanced manufacturing ambitions.
