Now you can receive support for urgent challenges within the Swedish Metals & Minerals program, which is part of Impact Innovation – an initiative by the Swedish Energy Agency, Formas and Vinnova.
The purpose of the call is to contribute solutions to address urgent challenges within Swedish Metals & Minerals. By funding short thematic research and innovation projects, the program aims to strengthen Sweden’s capabilities within some of the program’s technical focus areas.
Themes
- You can apply for support for projects within the following four themes:
- Access to critical raw materials from Sweden.
- Increased use of scrap and other secondary raw materials.
- Sustainable water management in the mining and metal production sectors.
- Reduced environmental impact from large waste streams in the mining and metal production sectors.
Funding Information
- The maximum grant amount per project is SEK 3.5 million. The Swedish Energy Agency´s funding may not exceed 70% of the project´s total eligible cost.
What can you apply for?
- Research and innovation projects that find solutions to urgent challenges within four themes, strengthen Sweden´s capabilities in some of Swedish Metals & Minerals´ technical action areas and contribute to the mission.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Swedish Energy Agency addresses this call to:
- companies (legal entities)
- public sector
- universities and colleges
- research institute
- non-governmental organizations.
- All applications must consist of at least three parties, of which at least one must be a company with operations in Sweden, and at least one must be a research actor (university, college or research institute). To facilitate rapid implementation or use of project results, need owners need to be involved in the project as partners or, for example, in the project’s reference group. Need owners are organizations that benefit from and can implement the project’s results.
